Scott D Wood, President of Scott Wood Associates, LLC, ITC Level III thermographer, is a leading expert in building science thermography providing consulting, investigations and testing using infrared thermography as an investigative tool for commercial and residential buildings. He performs building investigations and evaluations from architectural design review to completed building testing including water testing fenestrations and enclosures. Having provided feed back to the 2009 USACE air leakage protocol for buildings, Scott provides consulting for large building air leakage design reviews, installation oversight and air barrier testing.

As the primary independent instructor/consultant for the Building Science Institute (BSI), Scott provided the curriculum and instructed the Certified Building Science Thermographer course from 2003-2011 through FLIR’s Infrared Training Center (ITC). He also instructed level I thermography and roofing application classes for the ITC. As Technical Director for United Infrared’s MoistureFindIR modules, Scott provides thier 1 and 3 day classes on infrared’s use for the detection of water, moisture mapping and water testing.

Since 2010 he has provided support as the Infrared Thermography’s forum moderator for the on line Inspectors Journal.
